Tom Emery is the Deputy Director of the Generations and Gender Programme (www.ggp-i.org) which is based at NIDI . He is responsible for the implementation of the GGP’s technical programme and oversees cross-national fieldwork and the strategic development of the infrastructure. He is also the Executive Director of ODISSEI (www.odissei-data.nl) the Dutch National Infrastructure for Social Science where he oversees the day to day operation of the infrastructure and implementation of its strategic development programme. Tom holds a PhD in Social Policy from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA in the Management of Research Infrastructures from the University Bicocca in Milan. His substantive research interests relate to family dynamics and intergenerational relations and he has been actively involved in several international research projects. He is currently PhD supervisor for Jing Zhang (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and Damiano Ucheddu (University of Groningen).
