Martijn Schoenmakers is a postdoctoral researcher in Survey Methodology for the Generations and Gender Programme. Before joining NIDI, he graduated from the Research Master in Psychology: Individual Differences and Assessment at Tilburg University, where he also worked as a PhD candidate in Psychometrics for four years. His dissertation was focused on item response theory, in particular response styles and differential item functioning. He is passionate about applying his statistical and methodological knowledge to improve measurement throughout the social sciences.
