Rui Lu is a PhD candidate. She is working on fertility and reproductive decision-making in China and low-fertility societies. Her expertise is in comparative fertility research, social policy and welfare regimes, quantitative methods.
She attained an advanced master’s degree in international social policy Analysis (Master in Science, KU Leuven, Belgium) and attended the European Doctoral School of Demography (2018-2019) at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, and South Denmark University in Odense.
