Juul Henkens is a PhD researcher at NIDI. In her research for the MyMove project, she focuses on the effects of internal mobility in childhood and adolescence on health and well-being in young adulthood. She is mostly interested in adolescents, differences between adolescents with and without migrant background, and the role of the family in internal mobility effects.
Juul started her studies with a bachelor in dance education. After three years of teaching adolescents, she made the move to Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, with a master in Youth Studies at Utrecht University. She completed her second master’s degree with the research master Development and Socialization of Childhood and Adolescence at Utrecht University.
