Family policies differ widely across countries and across time. To study the development and consequences of different family policies, for example for fertility behavior, researchers need data on family policies that are comparable across contexts. The Comparative Family Policy Database provides contextual information on family cash benefits and maternity and parental leave in developed countries for the period 1960-2010. It is based on various sources including the OECD, the International Labour Office, and country-specific sources.
