The Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) provides scientists and policy-makers with open-access survey and contextual data that makes it possible to compare countries with each other and over time. The GGP covers a wide range of topics that play a role in demographic behavior, with a particular focus on the relationships between generations and genders.
NIDI coordinates the GGP, which involves eleven European research partners. NIDI plays a key role in ensuring the quality of the Generations and Gender Survey by working on (among others) data harmonization, the diagnosis of panel attrition, the analysis of incomplete data, and the development of new instruments for the survey.
