The well-being of young adults has declined in the last decade. Concurrently, there has been a large increase in uncertainty in young adulthood, such as temporary contracts and uncertain housing situations. Does this high level of uncertainty explain the low well-being of young adults today? This Veni-project (1) maps uncertainty in young adult life-course trajectories by examining transitions in the work, housing, and family domain simultaneously; (2) examines how these life-course trajectories relate to well-being; (3) examines whether this relationship is conditional on the presence of parental resources/support. These topics will be studied with longitudinal register data and a newly developed LISS-panel module.
